Slow pitch jigging asks a lot of a rod — it has to load and unload smoothly to work the jig, stay sensitive enough to register a soft take at depth, then hold up to a long fight on heavy braid. The Mighty Deep is a one-piece solid blank built around exactly that job, in a compact 6ft (183cm) length that keeps leverage on your side when a fish digs for the bottom.
